Hey, I'm Dustin and I originally come from a software development background. I've mainly worked with programming languages like Java, Kotlin and Next.js, but I've also learnt a lot about cloud technologies. In the meantime, however, I have discovered my love for IT security. In my spare time, I spend a lot of time on CTFs, courses and talks about all things IT security and penetration testing. For now, feel free to join my journey through the path of cyber security 💪🤠

Projects

CyberSecurityWiki

This project represents an accumulation of the knowledge I have acquired during my involvement with a variety of topics in the field of IT security. As my learning path is far from complete, this collection will be continuously expanded. I also provide a list of helpful tools with various information. The wiki is based on the open source tool Wiki.js, which synchronises with a Git repository. This means that the information can also be viewed directly from a Git repository. I hope that I can offer added value with this, and anyone who would like to is welcome to contribute further information. In this way, we can perhaps play a part in making it easier to get started in IT security.

Bachelor Thesis

This is my final thesis for my Bachelor's degree programme at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. In it, I carried out a threat analysis of a cloud scenario using the BSI IT baseline protection. To begin with, I carried out a structural analysis and determined the need for protection. I then drew up a catalogue of relevant threats and presented corresponding measures. If you are interested, feel free to take a look!

AthConnect

This is a software project that consists of a backend and a frontend and is being developed for fitness trainers in the sports sector. The frontend is created with Flutter, while the current backend is developed in Kotlin. In addition, Liquibase is used in combination with Postgres as persistence. Unfortunately, the source code cannot be made publicly available at the moment. However, if you are interested, I can provide temporary invitations to the repository.
